More specifically the proposed objectives and topics for discussion were:
To provide an update on the implementation of the Ending Cholera Roadmap and integration of OCV in cholera control plans including:

  • Perspectives from participating countries
  • Lessons learnt and way forward to engage countries in cholera control

To discuss perspectives on OCV use moving forward including:

  • Outcomes of the Gavi Vaccine Investment Strategy and long term support for OCV
  • Update on supply availability for 2019 and beyond
  • GTFCC support to countries and OCV use – follow up from the 2018 GTFCC annual meeting and discussions on the process to access OCV
  • Standard approach for M&E

To review and validate the OCV research agenda:

  • Feedback from the GTFCC research agenda meeting and cholera research priorities – updates from other GTFCC WGs
  • Update from partners on research projects
  • Validation of the OCV WG research priorities
