Back to all newsIn its Weekly Epidemiological Record No 36 (2025), the World Health Organization provides a provisional overview of the cholera situation in 2024. A total of 560 823 cases and 6028 deaths were reported to WHO by 60 countries, territories and areas – an increase from 45 in 2023. The number of reported cases rose by 5% and the number of deaths by 50%. The overall case-fatality rate (CFR) was 1.1%.
