CSP is working to coordinate a workshop in Nigeria to review the National Strategic Plan of Action on Cholera Control (NSPCC) and the development of the 2022 work-plan, which is tentatively scheduled for May.

The workshop will be targeting close to 60 participants including the Nigerian national authorities, technical experts and cholera partners. The CSP is looking forward to host this workshop as Nigeria already has a draft NCP that needs update, in addition to strengthening resource mobilisation and advocacy efforts.

On February 18, 2022, Nigeria CSP Programme Manager, Mr. Abel Augustinio attended the Cholera Preparedness, Prevention and Response Training for Stakeholders which was organized by the Federal Ministry of Water Resources in collaboration with UNICEF. During the training, he urged the Nigerian government to show their highest level of commitment towards implementing the NCP.

More on the GTFCC CSP’s call to action was reflected on ‘The Guardian’s’ online news portal.
