The GTFCC steering committee responsibilities are to:

• Set the strategic direction for the GTFCC, including review of activities and preparation of the work plan to be approved by the General Assembly.
• Provide oversight and ensure accountability for the GTFCC activities, including monitoring of key performance indicators, review of the GTFCC Secretariat progress reports, review of budgets, resource allocation and expenditures, and recommendations to inform the implementation of future activities in line with the Ending Cholera Roadmap.
• Conduct high level advocacy at the global level to increase awareness and raise the profile of cholera as a public health problem.
• Appoint the members of the Independent Review Panel which will be identified and proposed by the GTFCC Secretariat.

The Secretariat of the Global Task Force coordinates the GTFCC partners. Its primary responsibilities involve oversight of institutional/political/advocacy, normative, communication and operational activities of the network, in line with the 2030 Roadmap strategic objectives.

The Secretariat’s responsibilities are to:

• Administer the Global Task Force in coordination with partners, including institutional, human resources, funding, due diligence and auditing oversight. The Secretariat leads the organization of steering committee meetings, annual meetings and high-level events.
• Monitor activities through regular progress reports, including monitoring of key performance indicators, review of budgets, resource allocation and expenditures, and recommendations to the Steering Committee to inform the implementation of future activities.
• Support the development of operational plans, including coordinating with the various technical working groups, CSP and research work stream, providing technical guidance and resources and advocacy support.
• Define advocacy and internal/external communication strategies, along with follow-up actions as well as ensuing actions in coordination with the CSP and other GTFCC bodies.

The Country Support Platform (CSP) serves as the operational arm of the GTFCC, dedicated to translating the Global Roadmap to 2030 into actionable strategies at the country level. Hosted by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the CSP fosters collaboration among global health actors, national governments, GTFCC members, and national stakeholders to prevent and control cholera.

The responsibilities of the Country Support Platform are:

• Multisectoral Development & Implementation of National Cholera Plans (NCPs): The CSP assists countries in creating and implementing NCPs that are tailored to their specific contexts. This involves fostering political endorsement and facilitating multi-sectoral coordination to ensure a comprehensive approach to cholera prevention and control.
• Technical support & capacity building: The CSP provides multi-sectoral technical assistance, including identifying Priority Areas for Multi-sectoral Interventions (PAMIs), facilitating Oral Cholera Vaccine (OCV) application processes and campaigns. It also co-facilitates training and provides ad-hoc technical support based on identified country needs.
• Resource mobilization & advocacy: By guiding investments towards Priority Areas for Multi-sectoral Interventions (PAMIs), the CSP helps countries secure resources necessary for NCP implementation. It engages with donors, governments, and partners to advocate for sustained funding.
• Research & evidence integration: The CSP supports the GTFCC Cholera Research Agenda, which involves facilitating global research coordination and supporting countries in conducting operational research to inform evidence-based interventions.

Independent Review Panel (IRP) provides transparent and in-depth review of National Cholera Plans (NCPs) for endorsement by the GTFCC. IRP members are appointed by the Steering Committee as proposed by the Secretariat and serve in their individual capacity, without representing their employer, government or any other entity.
