The 6th Meeting of the Global Task Force for Cholera Control (GTFCC) Working Group on Oral Cholera Vaccines (OCV) took place in Geneva on December 3-4, 2019.
The meeting objectives were to review the implementation of OCV campaigns; to discuss renewal and harmonization of the current mechanisms for accessing the OCV stockpile; to review the current and future supply of, and demand for, vaccines; and to refine and prioritize the OCV research agenda, including for the development of new vaccines.
After assessing the achievements of the past year, discussing feedback from countries representatives about their OCV campaign in depth, and hearing updates from partner agencies, vaccine developers, researchers and funders, the group defined a list of tasks to be addressed in the coming year.
